A shit club that plays in a 54k-seater Home ground but only takes allocations of 34 for Away matches...

That's our very bizarre future in a nutshell...

Thank THE GOONERS running operations for that...

For me we seem to have two different mindsets.
One for the big games where we pressure the opposition from start to finish... and another where we see, almost uninterested. Compare the Manc City game to the first half of the Villa home game.
Like night and day it was.

We got away it against Villa, but it happened at Southampton again and we were found out.

Really fear our future

Re: Southampton v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-0
Southampton seem desperate to try and form some kind of rivalry with us and our embarrassing post-96 brigade are rising to it...

Pretty despairing stuff... That's what zero Cup wins and just one final in fucking 36 years has done for us...

Even our operational staff think we're a regional pisspot cunt club - as do our new breed of fans...

Thought we were very predictable yesterday. Song poor again.

Noble our best player, again.

Not if I think we've tried hard, PD son.

I'd like to think of myself as a bit of a realist.

Or, sometimes there's another team with 11 other players who sometimes stop you having everything your own way all the time?

Good points ...'
I said the same yesterday re quick early passes forward and used Leicester as a good example...

Also Payet has not been dominating games recently...Newcastle...Liverpool...Villa ...Soton...'

Been disappointed by Song since his return...Kouyate is a key player as he moves th ball forward well and is often a goal threat

Disappointed with our inability to start games well and this is down to Bilic...He's had a very good season so far but he needs to fix this recurring problem ASAP...

The empty seats were because the club took another god awful allocation on offer. It's been sold out basically for 2 weeks.

Another mistake from the gooner.

Rodfarts, I honestly think you have brainwashed yourself into seeing what you want to see. Noble was our best player yesterday.

Are you sure the empty seats weren't because people were trying to get out of the rain?

Worse than "shall we fill your ground for you" what with shit loads of empty seats?

Saying that, I blame the club for that.

Low point for our away support yesterday gloating about having a stadium paid for...

Re: Southampton v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-0
There’s a thread solely about Song, primarily how crap he is, but my view is that it’s not Song as such it’s our current inability to move the ball forward quickly enough. We play good possession football by going square or backward, but don’t penetrate anywhere near enough when we are in the they’re half.

Against Villa we were the same, very very slow at moving it forward quick enough. Granted, against 10 men it can be difficult as the shore up the defence but even then you have to push balls into the box quicker than we are currently.

Yesterday we seemed to start very slowly (again) and then had a long period in the 1st half and all of the 2nd where we completed dominated possession but never really threatened consistently – put them on the back foot etc.

Even when we brought Carroll on we didn’t put anywhere near enough balls into the box. Both the fullbacks pushed on very well, but when we got the ball to either of them they all too frequently played in backwards across the pitch from one side to another.

Song & Noble fed the fullbacks often enough, it just seemed to come back and across the pitch most times instead of threatening.

If you look at Leicester right now, and I’m not supporting the long ball, they win it and give it forward very quickly – often route one – but forward play, not sideways.

Man city were guilty of sideways play all day yesterday, Arsenal do it most games – it gives the opposition time to re-group. Spurs play it more direct – and it pains me to say it – it’s very successful because it’s basic. We’re making it far too complicated right now.

I also think Payett is starting to hide up a bit. In a game like yesterday, also against Villa, you’d expect him to control and dominate the game with his skill. Instead he drifts out of the game instead of running it.

Maybe it’s a motivational thing that we seem to start slow against some of the lesser teams – I fucking hope so otherwise Liverpool will turn us over with a full side – especially if they play Sturridge.

I'm sure it was song that lost the ball more often than noble.

Crap just fell for the fordstar shit wind-up.
